Steve Hughes is a Senior Director in the Data & Analytics practice at 3Cloud. In my current role, I am focused on growing our teams’ skills and capabilities to deliver data projects on Azure. This includes technical training, patterns and practice development, industry thought leadership, and internal technical communities. Steve has recently been diagnosed with ALS but continues to work and share with others what he has learned.
Prior to this role, I managed the West and Central Data & AI consultant team at 3Cloud. I did a similar role at Pragmatic Works before our merger with 3Cloud. I focused on team development and company growth with this role. In my previous role as a Principal Consultant Lead at Pragmatic Works, I focused on designing solutions for customers on Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Power Platform, and Azure.
I have been working with technology for over 25 years, with much of that time spent on creating business intelligence solutions and helping customers implement leading BI and cloud solutions. I am passionate about using data effectively and helping customers understand that data is valuable and profitable. I also have experience working with a large Software as a Service vendor where I received awards for customer satisfaction and engineering excellence.
I have received Consultant of the Year honors at Magenic, the Engineering Excellence Award at XATA, President’s Award at Pragmatic Works, and Spirit of 3Cloud Award. I have delivered multiple presentations on data architecture, business intelligence, and cloud solutions over the years.
I have been married to my beautiful wife Sheila since 1993. We are the parents of four awesome adult children who are awesome! You can follow some of those adventures on the Fun Info page of the site.
Kristyna Ferris is a Senior Data Engineer Consultant at 3Cloud. I work with customers to review their existing analytic offerings and advise on future implementations that would provide valuable insights into their business. In my previous role at GlobalTranz, I have played an instrumental role in moving from 3 different reporting platforms to hosting our reporting within Power BI. I have created and maintained security, on-premise gateways, design strategies, training, and reports for both internal operations committee and external customers.
I am passionate about using quantitative data to answer qualitative questions. Working side-by-side with key stakeholders to both ask the right questions and arrive at data-driven solutions, I believe that data is only as useful as the questions it is trying to answer and as powerful as the tools employed.
I am a new home owner and the first of those awesome adult children mentioned above. Recently, I have gotten into wood carving little bears and wood burning D&D dice boxes and puzzles for friends. Check out that Fun Info page for some of my hobbies and updates on the house.
